5 Ways you can give

The Kinsmen Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and independence of those facing daily challenges due to a disability through fundraising and support for various organizations and individuals.

We offer a range of financial instruments for setting up a fund and will work with individuals and their advisors to customize a giving plan that align with your personal interests and tax planning needs.

l Cheque

You can make a charitable gift by sending a cheque. Gifts of any size are welcome, and you will receive a charitable donation receipt for the year in which the contribution was made. To give by cheque, please mail it to: PO Box 64789 Sunwood Square, Coquitlam BC V3B0H1

Publicly Traded Securities

Donating publicly traded securities, such as stocks or bonds, to the Kinsmen Foundation is a way to support our mission while benefiting from tax savings. When you transfer ownership of these securities to the Foundation, the entire gain on the sale of the shares is tax-exempt, even if the shares have increased in value. In contrast, if you sell the shares yourself, 50% of the capital gains would be taxable.

Debit/Credit Card

A very easy way to make a charitable gift is by using a debit or credit card. Gifts of any size are welcome, and you will receive a charitable donation receipt for the tax year in which the contribution was made. To pay by debit/credit card, simply use the button.

Charitable Request
Life Insurance
You can designate the Kinsmen Foundation as the beneficiary or owner of your life insurance policy. If you name the Foundation as the irrevocable beneficiary of your policy, we will provide you with an official receipt for income tax purposes for the premiums you pay each year. Alternatively, if you make the Kinsmen Foundation the owner of a life insurance policy and pay the premiums on that policy, you can receive an official receipt for the premiums you pay.
